One of the basic axes of LIPSA's philosophy is the care for the Quality of our products and services, and within the food sector all those aspects related to Food Safety and the strict fulfilment of all the related legislation. For all this, at LIPSA we work in a systematic way according to the following certified norms:
As the main tool to guarantee the Quality of all of our products and services we have established a Quality Management System, certified by Det Norske Veritas since July 1999, initially according to the ISO 9002:2004 norm and from July 2002 to the present time as the ISO 9001:2000. This certification has been renewed in August 2008.
The scope of the certificate is “Manufacturing and supplying of transformed and/or refined oils and fats”, and it includes all the processes done at LIPSA, from the purchase of raw materials, auxiliary materials or transport, to the productive processes and their control, the commercial management and the delivery of our products.
As one of the main points of our Quality Management System, it figures all those activities related to the Customer Service, from new product developments to the following of our Customers satisfaction.
The quality and safety of our products are absolutely a priority to our company. These are guaranteed mainly through a Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points system (HACCP), which has been implemented in our company since 1997, it is annually revised by qualified people of our company. This system, together with the prerequisite programs is documented through our Quality Management System and it is internally audited in a periodic basis.
This set of activities, implemented to guarantee the safety of our products, is certified by independent organizations fulfilling the following norms:
Certified since November 2006 as its fourth edition and revalidated every year by SAI Global – EFSIS, since the first audit LIPSA has always obtained the maximum grade for the BRC certification (Grade A).
The scope of the certification is “The refining and processing of oils and fats at the Santa Perpètua de Mogoda (Barcelona) site”.
Feeds and Services complying with the most strict safety requirements to the people, animals and environment. This is what the GMP+ 2006 certification scheme stands for. This certification system is focused to tyhe safety of of those products intended for the animal feed sector.
LIPSA holds this certification since June 2006, being audited every year since then by Det Norske Veritas.
As a part of its commitment with the fulfillment of the in force regulation, LIPSA figures in the National Health Registrations (RGS and RSIPAC) with the record number 16.00219/B since 1980. The above mentioned registration has been renewed in February 2008. The scope of the registration is “The importation, processing, refining and transformation of animal and vegetable oils and fats”
